Camp has Begun!
The Camp Lorrain season has officially begun!
Staff have been hard at work, some for over a week now, and camp is looking absolutely fantastic. Tuesday excitement was at a high as we welcomed our large group of CIT's who are already feeling at home.

Tri-Town Work-Bee
The first annual Tri-Town Work-Bee was held on Saturday and was a huge success!
Everyone worked hard to help ready camp for the season. Some of our tasks included:
- cut the grass
- tidy up the beach
- replaced campfire benches
- cleaned the lodge and kitchen
- installed bunk bed railings
- painted Cohalis
After all the hard work, we sat down for a yummy potluck and thought provoking service.
A huge thank you goes out to all of our volunteers from Hillview Pioneer Memorial and St. Paul's United Church in New Liskeard.
Special thanks to Chris V. for all of his hard work and recommendations.
Last but not least, the weekend would not have been a success without the organization and leadership of Jim R. and Barb C. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.

Spirit Guides Needed
Calling all enthusiastic leaders, outdoor lovers, and spiritual role-models!
Camp Lorrain is looking for volunteers to act as a Spirit Guide for one or more of the below sessions. Volunteers will be provided with their own cabin and meals during the duration of their stay at camp and are welcome to enjoy all that our facility has to offer! Spirit Guides are welcome to attend either as an individual or as a couple/pair.
Intermediate Camp 1 (age 11-14) August 4-11, 2013
Women's Retreat (age 18+) August 23-26, 2013
Spirit Guides are fundamental to the faith education and spiritual programing at Camp Lorrain. They help build an environment of Christian love and caring along with high standards of behaviour that are affirming and supportive. In addition to leading daily Spirit Sessions, Spirit Guides should be available for individual consultation with staff and campers as needed. They will also assist as necessary with Morning Watch and Vesper services.
If you or anyone you know may be interested in joining our amazing team this summer as a Spirit Guide please contact Meghan at camplorrain.ucc@gmail.com
